5th XI Mercantile Sunday Premiers!

Congratulations to our Fathers & Sons XI who last week took home the Mercantile Cricket Sunday D Grade Premiership.

Established in 2016, this team has been a huge success, not only exposing the younger players to turf cricket, but also providing the older members with a chance to continue careers.

After having lost the toss and being asked to bat, we set Power House an intimidating total of 256 off 45 overs thanks to strong contributions from Troy Reddell (76), Adam Edmondson (95) and ex 1^st XI player Richard Pearson (44*). This was followed by a strong performance with the ball as 3 wickets from Archie May helped restrict the opposition to 9/187 off their allotted overs.

Well done to all involved on bringing some silverware to Brighton Beach Oval!
