Club Statement – BCC Announces new President
The Brighton CC Committee would like to inform our community that Bernie Mutimer has been elected as Club President for the 2018/19 Season. With a long and storied family history at the club, Bernie has been a mainstay for some three decades as a player, junior co-ordinator and his immense contribution has resulted in numerous Best Clubman Awards. Having served on the Committee for the past 5 years, Bernie has filled a number of important roles and was the ideal candidate to take the Club forward.
Bernie takes over the role from Andrew Beck, who has served as President since 2013. Guiding the club back to a healthy financial position, Andrew led the BCC through to our landmark 175th anniversary last year. Andrew’s efforts as President, and entire contribution to the BCC were honoured at the AGM with his induction as a Life Member. Andrew will continue to serve on the Committee for the coming season. The Club welcomes Hugh Hamilton as Treasurer whilst Tony Shepherd and Jack Rutter come on as General Committee members.
