Player Signing – Justin Butterfield

Brighton Cricket Club is pleased to announce the signing of Justin Butterfield as a Senior player for the 2019/20 season. Justin played his junior and senior cricket at his local club Narre Warren Cricket Club before joining Dandenong Cricket Club in Victorian Premier Cricket. He worked his way up the grades at Dandenong to become a member of their First XI. He established himself as skilful and big-hearted left-arm swing bowler who became a fixture of the Dandenong First XI for several seasons. His value to the side was underpinned as a winner of Bowling and Club Champion awards across multiple seasons for Dandenong, most notably during the 2010/11 season as the club won the 1st XI Premiership. Perhaps more importantly Justin became a highly respected and valued member of the club which is reflected in his appointment as a Life Member of Dandenong this year.

After a year away from cricket Justin is keen to play cricket again competitively and we are pleased that he has chosen to do so at Brighton. As a Bayside resident and with some former Dandenong teammates already at the club, we hope that he will enjoy the cricketing and social aspects of the BCC. Please join us in welcoming Justin ‘Butters’ Butterfield down to Brighton Beach for season 2019/20.
