T20 Blast at The MCG
On Thursday 19 January our enthusiastic T20 Blasters had a brilliant evening at the MCG, being the warm up entertainment for the KFC BBL game between Melbourne Stars game v Adelaide.
Our ”Blasters” provided the On Field Entertainment but the common consensus was that the ones that had the most entertainment were the kids themselves. The boys found the event to be awesome and were overwhelmed by the size and scale of the stadium.
Time went by too quickly and it would have been great to have had a bit more time on the field.
Nonetheless the kids got within 50 yards of Shane Warne who was practicing nearby. (But I suspect that most fathers were looking around for Liz Hurley.)
The bonus was for some of the kids to have had the back of their shirts autographed by Dean Jones who played 52 Test matches for Australia in Between 1984 and 1992, scoring 3,631 runs including 11 centuries. (or so I am told!!).
All in all a great event.
Many thanks
